Goodwood Revival Chauffeur Service
Expert chauffeur service for the Goodwood Revival — three days of historic motorsport at Goodwood Motor Circuit in West Sussex, the most atmospheric and visually spectacular motorsport event in the world. Professional transfers from Berkshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire and London.
The Goodwood Revival takes place each September at the Goodwood Motor Circuit, celebrating the circuit’s original era of racing from 1948 to 1966. What makes the Revival unique — and what has made it sell out completely every year since its inception in 1998 — is the requirement that all spectators and participants dress in period clothing from the circuit’s original era. The result is an event that feels genuinely transported in time: pre-war Bentleys and Jaguars on the grid, Spitfires overhead, and an audience in Harris Tweed, headscarves and 1950s summer dresses.
The racing itself is genuine competition between historically significant cars — many of them raced at Goodwood during the original era — driven by a combination of professional racing drivers and wealthy private enthusiasts. The spectacle of a grid of D-Type Jaguars or pre-war ERA racing cars at full noise is something that photographs cannot adequately convey.
Goodwood Motor Circuit is adjacent to Goodwood Racecourse, approximately 70 miles from Windsor and Ascot via the A3. The Revival draws around 150,000 visitors across the three days, and the rural roads around the circuit become congested from mid-morning — a chauffeured transfer from your door removes the parking challenge entirely.
One practical note: period dress is required. If you are travelling in costume, your driver can hold any items you do not wish to carry into the paddock throughout the day. The 2026 Revival runs from 12 to 14 September.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is period dress required at the Goodwood Revival?
Yes — period dress from the 1948 to 1966 era is required for all spectators. This is taken seriously and enforced at the gates. Many attendees treat the dress requirement as one of the pleasures of the event. Hire companies specialising in period Revival dress are available if you do not have suitable clothing.
Can my driver hold items I do not want to carry into the circuit?
Yes. Your driver remains with the vehicle throughout the day and can store coats, bags or any items you prefer not to carry with you. This is a popular arrangement for Revival visitors arriving in elaborate period costume.
How far is Goodwood Motor Circuit from Berkshire?
Goodwood Motor Circuit is approximately 70 miles from Windsor and Ascot — typically 90 minutes via the A3 and A286. The rural roads around Goodwood on Revival weekend become congested from mid-morning and we factor realistic travel times into your departure accordingly.
Do you serve all three days of the Revival?
Yes. We serve Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the 2026 Revival (12–14 September). Saturday draws the largest crowds; Friday is often preferred by those who enjoy a less congested atmosphere and more time in the paddock.
Can you arrange hospitality or paddock access alongside the transfer?
We provide the transport — Goodwood manages hospitality and paddock access directly. We are happy to co-ordinate your arrival time with your hospitality booking or paddock pass requirements. Please share your event schedule when booking.
